Patrick R. Wilson
Patrick R. Wilson is an Austin-based writer of speculative fiction, mainly grounded speculative/horror. He is a proud member of the Writers’ League of Texas and the Horror Writers Association. He was a finalist in the 2025 WLT Manuscript Contest, was longlisted (top 1%) of the 2026 Typeform Novel Beginnings contest, and was a Second-Rounder in the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Contest. His short stories have appeared in publications such as The Colored Lens.
When not working in the tech industry, or reading favorite authors like Paul Tremblay and Stephen Graham Jones, he enjoys playing NYT’s Connections and listening to shreddy guitarists like Joe Stump (please come to Austin) and Nita Strauss. He has recently become a pinball person, so it is best to avoid the subject unless you have a few hours to kill. His all-time favorite movie is Escape From New York, with Citizen Kane a distant second.
